Ninja

While male Slithern might not be allowed to study the mystical arts, they are often expected to take up martial roles at the order of their priestesses. One of the most able and prestigous of warriors among male ratkin, ninja are stealthy combatants with an array of frightening techniques which aid them in defense of their homelands. The ninja are a double-edged sword, however - there are rumors of renegade clans of ninja in the hills of the Slithern homelands that fight against the shugenja for the cause of equality between male and female Slithern. There have been no reported ninja of races other than Slithern; if such a person existed, they would likely have been taught by the ratkin in the arts of the ninja.
